Formality for a Cheswick Village Villa

The owners were struggling to make this exposed, new build front garden thrive due to poor soil conditions and drainage. The symmetry of the house lent itself to a formal garden layout. A parterre of Yew-edged beds with topiary standards surrounded by gravel.

The original design of our front garden simply didn’t work. We were sick of the postman taking the quickest route across the grass and the ‘hedging’ just wasn’t working. Daryl recognised the issues and supported us by creating a much more functional design which absolutely hit the brief. Once I saw Daryl’s designs, I knew she had heard and understood everything we had discussed as her design was just what we wanted. I absolutely love it when the tulips and lavender are all out and flowering. We have had so many positive comments from neighbours and passers by about our Tudor box garden.”
